Sarah Nui

I had booked the Sarah Nui hotel which was at the other end of Papeete, but still within easy walking distance of the centre of the city.  Nadine gave me a ride and dropped me off at the wide opened doors to an eager and friendly desk clerk.  Within minutes I was in my rather large room, and soon after in my very comfy bed.
The next morning was all tropical rain and dark, menacing skies, but it was Papeete and I'd wanted to  be here for a very long time.
I'm not sure what I expected but Papeete turned out to be quite different from whatever my expectations were, and so I decided to stay a few extra days to find out more about the city itself, which everyone told me I should leave behind as soon as I could.
