At the Beach
Tahiti, being under french administration, keeps much the same working hours as does France. Shops close at 20:00h and sometimes at 19:00h, not to reopen until the morning. It's a good idea to keep that in mind if you are doing your own cooking as grocery shops close early. Surprisingly so do the beaches. So if you want to access the beach in the evening, you might want to book a hotel or hostel located right on the beach.
