Raiatea, the Sacred Island

I wasn't sure I'd like Raiatea, sacred island or not.  I'd enjoyed Huahine so much, and only gone on the Hawaikinui for the cargo ship experience.  I was quite willing to just turn around and head back to Huahine almost as soon as I disembarked.
Raiatea had more in store for me than I expected.  I met a lovely flight instructor who offered to take me up in the aeroclub's ultralight.  And so up we went into the heavens for a better view of Raiatea, a peak at Bora Bora, the pearl of the Pacific and the numerous shades of blue that is both the up and the down of Polynesia!
