Sunday mornings, Chez Tara hosts a traditional Tahitian lunch, complete with foods wrapped in ti leaves and cooked in pits.
They do it up really well, buffet style with tables and chairs under the thatched roof or on the beach. During the meal musicians played traditional Tahitian melodies on ukuleles and guitars.
Three of us drove down and enjoyed the feast under the palm trees, looking over the lagoon.
